John’s passion for HCAI is driven by gratitude. Nature has provided so much yet has asked so little of him, and he sees involvement with HCAI as a way to reciprocate. John put his Cal Poly Ag Business degree (class of ’95) to work in finance and accounting before specializing in raw product acquisition and processing. In 2004, he started a food-focused consulting company that helped agriculture clientele at all stages of the business cycle develop business plans, protocols, financials, intellectual property, and production and distribution. He has managed complex research and development projects in food processing and packaging. Recently he has focused on strategic planning, business mentoring, helping systemize core business activities, process mapping, establishing and analyzing key performance indicators, helping clarify internal roles, responsibilities and decision rights.  As an established leader in the development, processing, packaging, and marketing of new food products, John brings tremendous value to HCAI and our partners.

John and Denise Guido live in Morro Bay and enjoy time spent experiencing and are happiest when hiking coastal trails, out on the water or trying to keep up with their 5 spirited grandchildren.
